Do you think that portable devices such as smartphones, ipods, game boys, etc. have value for education? Should they be banned from school or used to enhance education?

Portable devices such as smart phones, or ipods are valuable for education when in school. If someone needed help with their work they can use the internet to help them. These electronic devices should not be banned from school, but used to enhance education. Students can do all their assignments on their devices  to do homework, or classwork. Every assignment can be typed except math or any work that need to be worked out. It makes it more neater and also helps save more trees.
